PLACES TO FISH IN MELBOURNE

There’s nothing we love more than discovering a great fishing spot to take our Sea-Doo for a day. PWC fishing is becoming quite popular, and for good reason. It is more practical, efficient and agile than a large boat. Living in Melbourne, we are blessed by being surrounded by the ocean and river waterways which means the variety of fish in our waters are endless! Check out a few of our top fishing spots that are located in Melbourne - perfect for your post-lockdown adventures.

PORT PHILLIP BAY

First on the list is Port Phillip Bay. Not only is it the largest bay in Victoria, but it is also famous for its annual snapper run between October to March. There is such a huge variety of fish to be caught, most likely snapper (pinkies), flathead, whiting, salmon, squid, gummy sharks, gurnard, snook, mulloway, bream, trevally, garfish, and leather jacket… just to name a few! To maximise your fishing opportunities, make sure to use the Garmin EchoMap Plus 62CV Fish Finder.
